The Artist ... running the life classes will be Martin Close. Martin is a professional full time international artist with many years experience in teaching life drawing.

The Classes ... start at 7 pm and finish at 9.30 pm every week. Each class runs every week at the same time for the rest of the year. It is my intention to run the classes every week of the whole year only breaking for Christmas and new years day if we need to. Please arrive 15 minutes early for each class so we can start drawing prompt at 7.00 pm.
Experienced Artists ... can enjoy the classes as they will be able to totally relax and draw without restriction. As an artist I know what its like when you want to just draw so artist are very welcome.
Complete Beginners ... and those students that wish to improve their drawing skills are both very welcome as full guidance will be available if needed at every class.
The Cost ... is simply as low as we can make it. £20 per class if paid on the night, £18 per session when you book and pay in advance for more than one week at a time or buy a full monthly pass and receive a 20% discount reducing the class fees to just £16 per class.
This is a weekly class not a course so you can just drop in and draw for one class if you wanted to, you can choose what weeks to come or you can buy a Monthly Pass at 20% discount. No need to pay for 10 weeks up front or a term at a time.
Teas & Coffees ... are included along with biscuits and a glass of wine to help you relax and draw in those curvy lines ...
Materials to bring with you ... A flat plywood board to draw on, gray type putty rubber, willow charcoal thin and thick, drawing pencils, sharpeners, selection of hard and soft pastels, paper towels, paper blenders and of course your favorite pastel / drawing paper. A small selection of materials will be available to purchase at a discount should you need something.
Life Models ... will be changed on a weekly basis so each week should be different from the last. Some weeks the models will be wearing clothes so as to give the opportunity to study fabric folds.
What To Do Next ... is just send me an email as soon as possible with your name, address, mobile phone number and confirm which Life Class you wish to join and what dates you want to start on and that's it.
